Faxed in my resignation. Will text Incompetent Boss so he actually looks for the fax report.
Also I feel pretty comfortable in saying he owes me at least 4 missing hours, underpaid me for 32 hours. So will text him about that, too.
I was dancing with happiness, thinking that I would no longer be stuck waiting on Mr Eventual.

Keep us posted, blue. Hope the happy dance stays happy.
Gentle support while you sort. . .
I agree, I can BS in corporatespeak like a champ.
I do hope this keeps being a happy dance, but it is kind of a calculated risk? In that a lot of companies are going to be laying on more help for the holidays, starting September.
I have worked at haunted houses when younger, too, they crank up in September. I am skilled at scaring the crap out of people...or, well, at least urine. I have made people pee themselves. :D
I want one part time job, and other more temporary jobs to do. Keep me from stagnating. I want to throw myself into a situation where I have to hustle a bit, if that makes sense?
I want to become more economically resilient . I want to learn the fine art of garnering opportunities for myself, and that's just so frightening that I have to make it more frightening NOT to work on that whole work thing.
Sounds like you are calculating carefully, blue. No happy dance lasts forever (how exhausting would that be???), but those happy feet sure can help guide you to a better tomorrow.
Keep us posted, blue. Positive vibes coming your way. Sounds exciting!
Must go to der school, talk to enrollment counselor on Wednesday orThursday before work, gotta get THAT process rolling prior to leaving.
I told him that since I was leaving and could be honest? He should outsource his payroll duties to a reliable, bonded, insured...Indian Virtual Assistant service.
I guesstimate that for $ 200 a month he could get a team of Indian professionals to do an accurate payroll, and thus both make his own life easier, and stop ticking off his employees.
It's what I'd do if someone tried to make me to do a payroll, I have dyscalculia. I know trying to do it myself is not a good idea.
Dyscalculia is also why I am afraid to go back to college.
I am going to take the maths (2), being algibberish and stats, via correspondence, over and over and over...everything else I will do pretty good at. I love me some social sciences.
Everybody talked about statistics like it was some kind of dry hellish subject. But I enjoyed it. My professor was a Korean woman and her accent made everything she said sound charming. Plus, it's just not that hard - it's puzzle solving, and the important thing is to do the steps in the right order. I hope you can enjoy it!
