Surgery On Tuesday- Support Welcome

Well it's almost time for knee replacement surgery. I am really nervous and anxious now. I should be sleeping, but can't because I am so anxious. Surgery check in is at 5:45 Am. I know it will improve my life, but I have had so much physical pain in my life. Over 27 years since a head on collision in which I was a passenger shattered the lower part of my spine. I ended up in a leg brace, doctors telling me I would never be able to walk without it. With a lot of hard work I overcame that challenge and walk pretty normall except when I am really tired. I have had 5 knee surgeries and back surgery. I hope this 6th surgery will be it. I could use some last minute support. Thank you for all that you have given me. DS has really helped me pull through some hard times these last 7 months.

Here is my new brother, copper :) He's so tiny! Moo and Tuck were ok with him on first meeting. Rocket due to his severe aggression will never meet Cooper.

I have a good friend who had a hip replacement not long ago and she's doing great now and I hope the same for you
I wish you well......xo
I had a family member who had three knee replacement surgeries (one of their artificial knees was injured in an accident and had to be redone) and they were always glad they'd done it.
Hugs and well wishes.
Suncloud., they gave me nine additional meds making 25 meds I need to take for at least 4 weeks some longer.
Plus right now on an ice machine 24 hours a day for the next 3 days except to get up for personal care
and 16 hours a day after that..
However this Surgery is much more tolerable then my last surgery which was an osteotomy. I’m already standing and using a walker..
Muji, I am really inspired by your recovery. Your PT sounds awesome. My PT is really great. He is a little tough on me but I was able to strengthen up before surgery.. Here is one exercise he had me working on.;

Yes Muji, my PT was hard on me but taught me a lot about strengthening muscles that I never learned in martial arts. I am hoping to return to him in a few weeks.
Hugs and peace.
