will be gone tomorrow night, so I'm not dancing at the brewery. So, last night went to our city's sort of "art mall" and theater/poetry/ dance center at an old renovated cotton mill. I had checked the guest list and hoped no one I was avoiding would be there, but I encountered two men I remember. One just left looked upset to see me and didn't say much; I came up to talk to my fellow brewery dancer who was sitting near him. The other one walked near me a few times, like he was trying to make sure it was me. Then, I saw a girl I remembered and she looked through me. I felt nothing; they are strangers. I realize I don't hate the dance studio anymore. But, they seemed to react to my presence, reminding me again that all those bad memories and faces were real.
But the dance lesson was fine. At least they know I didn't gain weight or stop dancing because of being assaulted. And I wore my leopard print top that looks cute. Kind of bummed though.

Yea, it is a bummer that life's triumphs so often feel anti-climactic. Sigh.
