Did you hear about the tour last year or two by the band The Flaming Lips? They did nothing but play the album "Dark Side of the Moon" from start to finish each show. What a crazy, wonderful homage.
Here's "Us and Them" from The Dark Side of the Moon covered by The Flaming Lips

The song I liked the most from that live show was "Do You Realize?" It's from that "Yoshimi" album you mentioned, Mojo. It put out a really positive vibe among those of us who were in the audience that night I saw them.
Got to see Pink Floyd perform "Learning to Fly" live once, jewells, too. By then they were without Roger Waters, but that song's a David Gilmour original, so it sounded great that night anyway. I saw Waters live last year. He's touring alone again, I hear. Doo, sorry you had that bad reaction to the lazer lights at their show. Must've been awful.
Doo, I liked that Modest Mouse song you posted a link to. I checked to see if I could see them live this year. They are touring the US. They're on the West Coast working their way to the Midwest so far. If they reach the East Coast, I might have my chance.
Jewells, do you mean you dreamt about those black fighters in Star Wars? Wow, what a disturbing dream that must have been--like the Force working against your school work or something.
Hey, I saw the movie "Get Out" with some friends tonight. It's a horror movie, mind you, not my usual. But it didn't disturb me, and it did confirm the good things I'd heard and read about it.
Here's a good one for a night time post. "Singing in My Sleep" by Semisonic, one of my faves from the 90s.

Having seen 200-odd shows, I have never had a moment like that since or before.
gilbet got home - i'' make me go out there, don't know
Doo, so it was acid. Sounds like a logical thing to try at a Floyd show. I never have, but it's understandable. Shame it went wrong like that, bummer. So the Mouse are local where you are? Well, from the looks of their tour dates and locations, they sure have caught on across the country. I'll be keeping a lookout for them. I bought that book you mentioned just now. Looks like it'll explain why r & b happened up here in the States and tango happened back home in Uruguay, cool stuff like that. Looking forward to getting into it.
Enjoy the break from reality, Lilly. I try to have those on a regular basis--I call them Sundays. :-) Here's a little soundtrack for it for ya: "Vacation" by the Go-go's.

for me tonite, it is most likely a quick trip from relax to sleep. i better put me in the right location. near the horse, i think i need his breathing and safe feeling tonight. all the sounds he makes are such a comfort.
he's one of those war horses. although he wouldn't hurt any of us, better nobody scary come on here. i'll just let him out, open his stall door and cuddle up on the suspended bed right here where i can see everything all around me. it is cold in my bedroom, but not in here, not in the stables. in here, it is toasty warm and all i need is this fleece blanket. well, and 3 dogs : )
