I am prepping through out the day creating paper snowflakes to hang around the ship. There I feel like the world is filled with wonder and friends that do understand. A beautiful boat created by us here at DS . At first we started the cruises with DarkGypsy's glitter sub. It swung the oceans and the universe. Equipped well by Scotty with warp drive....and of course the magic...

Then Lily found a boat and of was instilled with magic that can create that peaceful place that we are told to find to promote relaxation and just to breath. If you want for anything or special comforts , you need only blink blink and Calypso provides it.
We play relax and share what makes us feel better...together.
There is also a van for on the road excursions The Violet Vanguard, parking is never a problem! And it is there with just a blink at our disposal, shopping the Magnificent mile or just a shoreline shell collecting day trip...use it as you wish.

...as many here know I have to do art.
I am surprised at the body of work that has come out of my time on Calypso, shared with you here, my friends.
hugs, read, play and enjoy our own place that we know.

If the work issues were not enough, I have so many health issues. It looks like I may have a heart problem. I'm scheduled to go in the operating room at the end of the month to determine once and for all if I have what is called a PFO-a small hole in the heart that you are born with that causes blood clots to pass through the left and right atria, and go up to the brain. They think this is what...

The next seems to fit my mood. I would love to take a voyage and dance between the icebergs in upper Alaska. I was caught by the guitar opening. The song that followed was also good

No Surrender - Bruce Springsteen
"Independence Day" spoke for me and my own difficult relationship with my father just as it did for Bruce:
"Well Papa go to bed now it's getting late
Nothing we can say is gonna change anything now
I'll be leaving in the morning from St. Mary's Gate
We wouldn't change this thing even if we could somehow
'Cause the darkness of this house has got the best of us
There's a darkness in this town that's got us too
But they can't touch me now
And you can't touch me now
They ain't gonna do to me
What I watched them do to you"

And I actually did what the song says, I went and got therapy for the PTSD from the war I survived with my family overseas, and I began to heal. My dad, though, refused help until he got himself in major trouble overseas by living in denial. Getting deported back to the USA by foreign authorities was a wake up call. But he still ignored even that and refused any help from me, any loved one, or any professional. As a result he had a full mental breakdown and died a broken man who sat at home alone and bitter until the end.
When those lyrics of "Independence Day" say I wasn't going to let happen to me what I watched happen to my dad, then, they're very real to me. Very, very real. Thanks for posting from this album tonight. It gave me a chance to be grateful for finding therapy and the courage to commit to it, for finding support group help and embracing it, for everything that's given me a chance to make a life for myself independently now.
It ends with "So say goodbye it's Independence Day/
Papa now I know the things you wanted that you could not say/But won't you just say goodbye it's Independence Day." For me those are great lines of forgiveness, forgiveness not only for a dad who lashed out with violence at me in our home out of his untreated PTSD.
They are also lines of forgiveness for myself for how my love as a son could not save my father, though I desperately loved and wanted to heal him even though he hurt me. That is often how all of us come to feel toward a loved one in a dysfunctional relationship until we learn it's time for independence.
Like I said, jewells, thank you so much for bringing up The River because it represents that turning point in my life from being enmeshed in a dysfunctional and codependent family to emancipating myself to independence as an individual.
