So cold even my PTSD has icicles
mujicaptsd
Maybe it's off topic, but forgive me. It's cold in North America these days. Even my PTSD has icicles hanging from it. I'm a homebody due to my PTSD on most days, but even more so now. Anybody else cold out there?

I'm feeling down,, and got alot on my mind right now. I got grief going on, on top my depression and anxiety and now I got to worry about somewhere to live since I can't afford living here since my mom passed. So many bad things have happened since my mom passed. One thing after another it seems. Yesterday our fence fell from a storm that hit, had to call someone to prop it up. Thank...
My parents abused us kids in the home, but they also abused us by fleeing their failures here in the US and taking us to live overseas in, of all things, a war zone. Sign of pychosis to choose a war zone for your children.
When we got there, Uruguay was having its worst winter in decades. Plus, the rebels sabotaged power lines when the war broke out. We had no electricity, so no lights and no heat for days, even two weeks at a time.
It was bitter cold and dangerous just going from home to school with combat in town, and my parents' untreated psychotic behavior was triggered in extra beatings for us kids.
No wonder I posted about cold and PTSD. Duh.
Thanks!
I dont have that particular trigger, which is fine, I have enough of my own. I am terrified of cold water.
My mother made me lay on my stomach, with only my head above water, in a lake that was just freezing for about 2+ hours and very late in the evening. She was mad (I dont remember why?). It's all a bit fuzzy, but I think she held some type of switch in her hand, to keep me from trying to get out. She had this creepy oddish grin the whole time. The more upset I got, the bigger her smile got. Dont remember anything after that.
Clearly many of us must've been asleep when they were handing out the good parents.
I'm not getting out much at all either and my poor wee pooch can get out for about a minute before he starts to shiver and that's with 2 coats on
I so look forward to April
