I can go to sleep but awake at 3:30am almost every night,
But that is me and there is also a huge diff between tweaking my sleep hours and insomnia. Insomnia sucks.
Continued support while you work your own sleep equation.
For me there's no use fighting my sleep cycle with sleeping pills and all of that. Melatonin helps me get to sleep at 2am or 3am, at least. Then get up at 8am to be at school at 9am and teach, then crash after getting home at 3pm.
This may not work for you, but accepting my sleep cycle for what it is and not fighting what I can't change worked for me. If you do find a weapon for winning the fight let me know, because I'd definitely use it. In the meantime, working around it is how I getting along with it myself, just speaking for me. Hope to hear more from you on this because it's a big PTSD topic for me.
