Well long story short. I am without meds or really proper treatment. V.A. says I am falling through the cracks and that I need outside treatment, because they are not set up for my form of PTSD. Ok here I my problem. They recommend I admit myself to the Army Hospital to get meds straight and start to get proper treatment. Well the thing is that this is the Hospital I stayed in when I finally fell over the edge. Back then I went through hell and let us just say did not receive much help. In fact the Officer who was my Shrink told me to my face to shut up and stop manipulating people. So how am I supposed to feel safe and like I can get help in the same place even if it is a decade later?

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

Go onto the website and see which facilities are in network.
You aren't manipulating if you are AFRAID to go to a place that you associate with a horrible experience; you are being smart in taking good emotional care of yourself.
THIS is how they talk to someone with PTSD??? One more reason to dump the Vet services. That's why you are there in the first place.
Hugs.
I got a VA PTSD doctor to take me on as a private patient outside of his full time VA hospital hours. Having Jon as my doc was the big breakthrough for me after 13 years of faithful therapy weekly with other docs, after hospitalizations, and after many meds. Pushing until I got that somewhat special arrangement was worth it. It totally changed by life for the better for the very first time in years of weekly PTSD treatment.
Hope you can find your Jon.
glad you're here.
But there comes a time where ya just gotta take the leap of faith...
Gentle hugs, Sean. Some things are just plain hard no matter which way you take it. Hope you find what works for you.
And glad to have you back.
Plus the secret that was PTSD is now out in the open...they can't sweep it under the rug anymore, it's too big not to notice the hump!... So Maybe set up a meet and greet...like you are interviewing a personal private facility. If you are no longer under active orders, you are also no longer under the GI gag order of old. But a patient dealing with the fall out of on the job stress and the myriad of complications along with the flashbacks. flashbacks
Our area just got a satellite campus, that works with our local hospitals. that was new, and it has brought out so many more vets that didn't or couldn't travel 60 miles(or more) to Ann Arbor for treatment. They now also offer counseling for current spouses and families of affected vets.
So there are a lot of changes to see if they have his your area yet.
I hope you can get what you need, be we are here Sean, don't do this alone.
I wish only the best for you, since I have taken some of the worst of untreated combat PTSD.
My heart J.
