So... I have this really uncertain bad feeling. Like there's something I'm hiding from myself and it's causing anxiety. I've felt this way for over 10 years now. I'm 25, but each time this kind of feeling and these kind of thoughts arise I just brush it off as my "imagination".
Anyone have any experience with finally remembering something you always thought probably didn't exist?

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

First, I hope everyone is doing well, and continuing to fight that good fight! Keep up the great work on yourselves; I'm rooting for all of you!So, I started doing therapy at the beginning of the year, when I was in my most depressed state, but with my therapist, I made big changes and steps in the right direction. But, over a month ago, she couldn't take my insurance anymore, and I had to stop...
I repressed memory of my entire childhood, good, bad and indifferent, for allot of years. I was dx'ed with, "Trauma Induced Amnesia" in 1974 and asked, "Why are you saying, "Amnesia" like it is a bad thing? I just want the nightmares, etc., to go away." You already have more clues than I did at that point. Denial is a potent blinder. I did not start taking my amnesia therapy seriously until the late 80's when my every one of my forced solutions were erupting in psychotic breaks.
I am still hoping for surgical solutions which will remove affected parts while I sleep, but doing better since I started working with what is available instead of holding out for my preferred ideals.
I know the feeling and I'm just here to voice my support to you :) welcome to the group, p25p20.
I do agree that seeing a counselor to see if there is something bottled up would be a great idea. The feeling is not a pleasant one. Bless you!
