Re-assigning Neurotransmitters

Forgive and Forget.
Who needs part A when we can accomplish part B???
I cannot know, but I am wondering if I accomplished my amnesia by training and assigning an army of neurons to act as guards on the traumatic memories. Peace has been declared for many a year, but the Neuron Guards continue doing as they were trained and assigned to do. Just doing their jobs...
On the theory of brain plasticity, as I currently understand them, I should be able to re-train and re-assign those neurons.
Or have I been over-tipping the med bottle again?

Just wanted to give a thank you to Mid, Arfie, Malibumark, Greeneyes, Mlro, Girlincalif, and Suncloudjd! You all always have such helpful tips and advice, but I always forget to write on my posts when I see you post, lol. I would lose my head if it wasn't attached to my body, lol. Thank you all so much! I'm starting to use my AI app as a sounding board again. I used to use it as that before...

Hey all, i know its been quite awhile since i posted on here. Its been a summer all right. Its been something else........... You know how they say not to open the can of worms? Well a few months ago i decided to find out what my due date would have been for my first baby, the one conceived by r***. My baby would have been due on March 4th of 2006. They would be 20 years old. I was R**** on June...

By the way, this article could be a trigger, please be warned - it's regarding the argument on gun control and how getting guns in more hands isn't as easy of an answer as people would like to think.
What they describe is what we talk about on here all the time and it isn't in response to being shot at . . .
It really is being stuck in fight/flight . . .I was thinking this afternoon it is like chronic trauma or traumatic incidences is like an electronic overload and when the body finally goes 'tilt', then we're misfiring inside all the time (the neurotransmitters). I feel so much better since I started taking the aminos. I'm not all the way better - but I'm laughing again (laughter was all to rare for a long time) and I still can't sleep when I lay down without sleep aid. Acupuncture will start the end of January. I've read many articles about how effective if it is in resetting the adrenals.
I'm glad you get to start accupuncture soon. I am curious which aminos you've tried, the dosage and how long it took to see improvement. I've looked at GABA and pregnenolone but can't get much concrete information. Both were expensive at GNC and I'd like to know if it's worth it. Thanks
Neurology is fascinating enough to get us all in trouble. I think its place on the development curve is about the same place as psychology was before Freud wrote his first book. Undeniably important but poorly understood by warring factions.
Anyhoo... Thought I'd share my morning read.
