Question about energy & PTSD

Thanks for your support about it, because I did well OK in the college meetings all day yesterday. I did OK with my boss, too.
But I've been exhausted today, the day after. I've slept all day the day after! Does anyone get exhausted with their PTSD like that from being around lots of people for long periods of time?
I'm trying to account for how tired yesterday made me. My theory is that the all college meeting at the beginning of the school year is more hard work for me with PTSD than the first day of classes will be on Monday. Classes begin and end at an appointed time. Those all college meetings go on for hours and hours all day. There are many more chances to say the wrong thing in meetings to people you work with. It tires me out.
Just to avoid being alarmed, I'm trying to be optimistic that I won't be this tired after teaching my first classes Monday. What do you all think? Has anybody wiped out by their PTSD like this from being with lots of people for long stretches of time?

My day...today...misplaced my debit card...didn't realize it until I got to the register after shopping to a full cart. Used a different debit card and pulled apart everything looking for missing debit card before I left parking lot. Got home, dropped keys. So now I have a missing debit card, missing keys. A full cartload to unload and put away. I got everything put away.Dumped purse for a...

I stayed at home today to work on my online class because of the deadlines listed in the syllabus...yikes. First chapter law and how they were set and made via the articles of the constitution. I still have a paper due on reviewing a landmark case on that....
So festival will wait. But all work through Sunday are done on this class and the case is read. Yikes! Not sure if this pace is one I can do once the other two classes start.
Chocolate no-cal cake with me Muji?
PTSD sucks, and I know it's just that the effort we put out.... Shoot, I read this in a fantasy novel, about magic, when I was a teen.... Something about "having to keep up magical shields drains magicians and that's why they need more rest and help".... Subsitute "PTSD" for "magic", I guess?
And new situations? Or returns to ones that might be stressful? Yeah.
I'm with Jewells. Chocolate. Even imaginary chocolate. Lots of relaxation breathing to help the body if not the mind take it down a notch.
It's weird, but I can get my body to chill more easily than my mind. Body, with my breathing exercises, can be relaxed. Brain is still full of hamsters on amphetamines. So I then sit down and watch cartoons. If I have the mental energy to grasp Wile E Coyote, then that's what I'll grasp.
Rambling. Tired. Blessings on you, Muji.:-)
I've been concerned about being a failure starting teaching school on Monday feeling like this. Your approach gives me the hope of thinking maybe I'll be magical if I just get my rest. Thank you for that! :-)
When my computer graphics business officially closed down in 1992, I started work in construction and remodeling. After the horror show of closing down a "white collar" business, I felt relieved to come home wearing the kind of dirt you can wash off and exhaustion which a good rest would fix. I still feel that way. Physical labor doesn't wear me out near as much as human drama and/or politics. I am not at all sure I could survive academic politics.
But, lucky for us, you are not me. . .
Hope you get a good rest and are fit and able come Monday.
The black cloud came, the black cloud left, and the black cloud will be back again whenever it damn well wants to. Now I accept it as one of those things that I will have for the rest of my life, and in doing so it makes it ok. Not wonderful, but ok.
Deli, yeah, I did run "high" during that day of school meetings in a way I don't usually run as "high" when there's a school routine of classes. At least I try not to. Can't afford the hangovers after those adrenaline spikes. Much luck to you as classes begin--do they begin for you tomorrow like mine do?
