With all the shifts in the household since this past October, "Normal" seems like a more mythical concept than ever. Even my own, personal norm seems to be MIA. We have had residential movements for just about everybody in the family, from the bees to the sons to the matriarchs. Hubs has been the only one who hasn't changed residence, but . . . The medical crisis sure shimmied his personal norm . . .
Hubs has been calling it, "Finding the New Norm." Kinda works for me. This week, anyway. Somehow, "Finding the New Norm" has been weaving with a garden metaphor I use to quiet my not-so-inner-control freak. It likens Life's changes to a sprouting seed with the suggestion that a seed grows better if I am not constantly digging it up to monitor its progress.
Any good experiences/suggestions on how to navigate change???

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

Ever since I stopped doing therapy because of insurance, I've been feeling that old tense and irritable sense of anxiety and stress. I hate that. I was making so many strides and changes during therapy, my therapist would acknowledge all of my progress and accomplishments, and I miss that reassurance. Today I thought about it, and I made those changes! She would always tell me that I chose to...
And to realize that the more things change, truly, the more they seem to stay the same---so many constants to cling to.... Which are the "stars" by which I try to navigate.
Oooh, I sound all enlightened! A pity I don't feel that way, LOL.
Gentle purrs of support to you and yours and may the bees be with you...
