I have PTSD after being in an abusive marriage for 35 years. The person I was 'died' during the divorce (and at the end of marriage) and I am still getting treatment.

In my opinion absolutely. Emotional and physical trauma can happen.

I agree with the others to see a therapist or psychiatrist to get a good diagnosis and best treatment options for your particular situation.

in my personal opinion also - yes. i have been extremely traumatized from domestic violence.

i want to say nondomestic violence because there wasn't anything domesticated about a lot of it. crazy wild feral nightmare of a mad scientist. the rest of the definition needs to go in the cuss buckit - thank you, Dooo xo

Simpson: I had to look up chronic shock syndrome. I highly doubt you were 'crazy'. Inured, traumatized and your reality distorted by events but no. Not crazy. Topic for another time but I wanted to reassure people they are not crazy. Welcome to you too.
