Prospecting - OT

It sure is hot down here. Summer is what I consider the dormant season of the sub-tropics. It is too hot to do any more than survive as best we can. No, I do not believe "survive" is too strong a word. Heat stroke is serious and potentially lethal business. Growth? Ha! You must be from snow country!!!

Whether your dormant season is covered in snow or sweltering in the heat, dormant season is a good time to do preparation and maintenance work that you don't have time to tend in planting and growth seasons. This dormant season finds me prospecting sites for a new bee yard. We won't actually need the new bee yard until Spring so I have time to play with several sites before we need to choose. I prepped and marked the first potential site last week. This morning I began marking the second potential.

I am prepping for winter. It seems to hit out of the blue and dump a foot of snow on us before I have raked the leaves up. Since we're still in August I have a little while before the snow falls. I am sooooooo not looking forward to winter.

I dream of "snow-birding." There are lucky folks who live down here for the winter and in snow country for the summer. Sounds downright sensible to me, except for that pesky little detail of maintaining two estates. I can barely afford one...

I too am gearing towards winter. It blazes one day and the next it gets cold. Its been one of the strangest summers weather wise.
I mowed my grass , then it died from heat turning crispy fried brown. Got cooler and lots of rain and now green agian and needs mowing.

I want to hit the slopes and go snow boarding , if I can this year. Snow is so peaceful ,that is until Im snowed in for a month then I get all nuts.
Now I want fruit cake.lol

    I did the dumbest thing today.  I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds.  I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym.  What a dummy!
