There are times i am concerned for my child. when i am myself I am a great parent, when i'm triggered i cannot keep my cool. I do not hurt her, but i am not the attentive parent i should be. i lose hours when i try to take a "time out". Days blur by me sometimes. and although i interact i'm not always present. I've been in counseling for two years, i am a full time college student. so i am functional... the counseling isnt helping much. I just wish i could be a good mom all the time... but right now she is going through a huge whining stage and it is hell for me... her cries do something to me... any advice?

Having said that, it sounds like you're doing an amazing job and you deserve a lot of credit and support also.
Is there a support group for parents available, maybe through your college? Any kind of support network so if you need a break, your child is in good hands?
And kudos to you for working on your parenting!
Gentle hugs and compassion,

You don't say how old your daughter is.
Childish whining cuts me to the quick, even now that my sons are adults. It yanks at every one of the spots where I want to whine for myself and can't afford to give in to it. I don't believe I have any great advice for you. Just do the best you can and forgive yourself for being merely human. Keep sharing.
Gentle hopes.
