Up until about four years ago I somewhat badly dealt with my ptsd and sort of could still work. But when my daughter was molested at church when I was at work and I got sexually harassed at work I found I could no longer be away from home. Question is what do I do to support my family? I feel more helpless that I can not provide what my family needs. But instead need to rely on food banks and the Grace of God. Also how do I recover when new trauma adds to old?

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

Still, I am wondering with you...

Sean I can't think today, usually full of ideas...just not the body to do it.
Guilt overtakes us when our PTSD symptoms limit our own independence so much we feel we are failing others. Our world shrinks down to whats inside our four walls. I know.
We win it back slowly a square foot at a time. Id suggest following 51%s suggestion for finding a way to work from home for now. Youd be in your home feeling safe, but projecting your value out into the world on the job market. Getting that first paycheck would feel really good, and take away a chunk of that guilt.
And after gaining confidence about how you manage to earn in the world from home, maybe someday youll feel like getting back out there. I dont know. But Ive had a couple of times when I couldnt work and slowly and surely I got my life back. Easy does it, as they say.
