"Nag Flags" is a term I started using with during his gall bladder/heart crisis which started late last year and consumed the first quarter or so of this year. It started in reference to that scary skin color and deep facial creases which come with stress, heart and gall bladder conditions. Other people can see many of our tell-tale signs much more easily than we can ourselves, making them a flag that your favorite nag will see far more efficiently. It has since grown to refer to any of the little tell-tale signs that warn us of any physical and/or emotional imbalance which so easily escalates to serious problems. Those little tells which we can see more easily in others than in ourselves; the stuff best addressed before it escalates. My favorite nag (hubs) was waving his flags this morning before he went off to work.
My nag flags of the morning are hyper-expression and inability to focus. Fair enough. I definitely have that going on. I would rather blame it on the storm front slopping its southwestern edges through our neighborhood, but. . . Okay. . . It could have something to do with the grandson's (2 yrs old) visit last night. It is the first time I have seen him since the MIL/DIL blowout back in June. It was nice to see him but I find myself intensely fearful of the DIL's next round of punishment. Still zero communication from the DIL. The two husbands worked out the details of the visit. Since I am still clueless how or where I earned my Monster-in-Law certificate, the next round of punishment could come from anywhere for whatever reason. Instincts are telling me that forming bonds that can be severed without warning are no healthier for the grandchild than for the grammy.
Hm-m-m-m. . . Maybe I should raise another "Nag Flag" called Trust. . .
Sorting. . . Thanks for the sort space.

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

Ever since I stopped doing therapy because of insurance, I've been feeling that old tense and irritable sense of anxiety and stress. I hate that. I was making so many strides and changes during therapy, my therapist would acknowledge all of my progress and accomplishments, and I miss that reassurance. Today I thought about it, and I made those changes! She would always tell me that I chose to...
