Thanks for the support last week when I felt overwhelmed by being selected for jury duty. Just making sure I get to class every day with PTSD and kidney disease is enough for me to handle. Being selected to serve on a jury, too, was too much right now.

So I settled down and wrote the court a letter as you suggested in your replies to the thread I started on the topic. I got a fast reply: yes, I'm excused--until June 2015, which is when I'm not teaching, so that's great by me. It really builds my confidence in the universe's order of things.

I also had a kidney doctor visit today without flashbacks--the first in 3 years without pTSD symptoms. I have another one at a university hospital with a specialist tomorrow, a doctor I've never met, but I'm hoping for the same outcome with my PTSD symptoms there, too.

Then in 3 weeks I see a neurologist for my kidney disease nerve damage, but I choose to believe I'll be heard by that doc, too. That the support I've gotten here for talking to courts and doctors both is real.

It's so good when our voices are heard speaking to courts and doctors.
