Another weepy day. This time the reason is clear and current. My youngest son, father of two (3 & 1), has been admitted to the psychiatric hospital again. He and his wife were already under investigation by Child Protective Services. Am I wicked for hoping their interest in the children's welfare has stepped up a notch? I am suffering another round of massive guilt attacks over not being there to take my part in the dance. Plying therapy tools. I still belie my part in that particular dance is not healthy. New steps needed. Prayers in progress.
My adult son's story is not mine to sort. Even less so his wife's. but. . .
Odd thing about today's round of sorrow is that my cheeks got wet. I wasn't all the way sure my eyes could produce tears. Am I learning something new?

Gentlest of hugs <3
***My former neighbor's Judy had a brother with severe seizure issues. Most people with seizures are fine, he wasn't. Nonetheless when he grew up he could live on his own, with a caseworker and a simple job with the Salvation Army.
So he found a girlfriend, and she too had cognitive issues....I think she was mentally retarded, although again, she could live on her own, with her own caseworker
So the two of them decided that it was their "right" or something to have kids. Two perfectly normal, beautiful kids...that they didn't feed right, provide any sort of stimulation for, or keep out of the seizure medication, lead paint chips. It was a mess even though caseworkers were involved throughout the whole thing.
The kids are now in my former neighbor's custody and doing great. Her brother and his girlfriend are actually doing better too without the stress of trying to care for two children.***
I know this all hurts. But it is possible that there may be a brighter future ahead.
In any case, big, big, big hugs. If I could make it better for all of them I would.

Small steps, big faith and lots of prayer. . .
Are you seeing a counselor? Often, counseling helps because it is a safer place to vent our feelings, cry, and get a different perspective. Christian counseling has really helped me. Praying for you today.
