I doesn't know but I only believe God's Law and human law are two separate courtrooms. Compatible, but far from the same. For sure I never heard anything I felt as Godly in these sibling discussions or any of the discussions which trigger the flashbacks.

I have wondered if God's hand was present in a few of the times their attempted legal maneuverings failed, but just wondering. God doesn't often tell me about the lessons She/He/It is teaching other people. So I believe. Proof irrelevant.

I've passed up on a couple of chances at suing people. In both cases I might have had an easy win and gotten some money out of it. But I'd rather not be entangled in courtroom proceedings for protracted periods of time, putting my personal business out there in public and sticking my nose in the business of others as making a legal case would require me to do. It's worth passing up on making money that way for me when I can make money some other way that better guarantees my independence.

So I think I might be with you, arfie, when you walk out of the room for those discussions. We could go talk about something else. To be honest, Lawsuit Lotto is kind of a boring fantasy to me. You and I might have more fun spinning yarns about our travels.

When my sibs, etc., cornered me on the subject(s), my answer to those schemes was typically the same as when they baited on the even less ethical scams and schemes. "Hey, I have to put my hands in these pockets. I likes to keep 'em clean. Keep your dirty money to yourself."

Yes, SunCloud, it has to do with flashbacks to those horrors being triggered by the current round of CPS horrors with the GK's. I frequently feel like my son married my mother, complete with the unusually large number of sibs (6?) to play lawsuit lotto with.

CPS/STBX waltzing with these folks is genuinely terrifying. All four of the resident adults in the other grandparent house are subsisting on lawsuit and welfare settlements. The family has more exes than currents. We don't know how many other grandchildren the other grandparents have, but they didn't bother to know any of them until they had "Gringos" to compete with for our only GK's. Hubs and I feel played to the max. On the rough days, YS does, as well.

We love our GKs enough to let them go if the trend continues. I believe letting young children get caught in lawsuit lotto wars is on the list of damaging 21st century traditions.

The flashbacks have been intense lately. Stress does that to a body.

I guess for me it would come down to if you believe they truly have the children's best interest at heart as opposed to just seeing themselves as important

In the rounds of lawsuit lotto I have been through with sibs, etc., I developed the policy of letting them *win* before they even call their lawyers. "Mother" knows best?"
