It comes back and I wish it wouldn’t.
Today I find myself in the throes of depression, trying to find a counselor or therapist and looking for answers and help for problems I thought I was over.
I have been suffering from anxiety and depression even tough things seem to be going my way. I’m sober, but it kinda sucks.
No not really; it is rewarding but on days like this I wish I was...something. Not necessarily high but just thinking differently. When I used to get this way I would just dull the senses with whatever I could find. Sex, drugs, alcohol, overspending. Anyway I’m down but I have made the decision to talk about it and not, “white knuckle” it like I have been.
I don’t know where to start, I don’t want to share just yet but it’s nice to know you all are out there.
Take care

When i was in the ER February 16th 2025, i was being admitted to ICU where i was for 3 weeks, then had to relearn to walk for 3 weeks in another hospital rehab floor, the nurse told me something that made me feel for over 18 months now that i was finally *safe*. She told me that the guy who raped and beat me 21 years ago now almost 20 years at that time, was in prison as of a month before that...

Sometimes, I think I have ODD. I can be oppositional. It seems that the only times that I feel like cleaning are when I should be doing something else or I have to go somewhere. Well, not everytime but most of the time. Yesterday, I was supposed to be doing online training for work but instead, I decided to work on my kitchen table. Most of the time, I don't know where to start and give...

Seems to me like you have already begun taking action with ". . .the decision to talk about it and not, “white knuckle” it like I have been." May I offer you a sincere pat on the back and encourage you to trust yourself to know what the next action should be?
Welcome aboard.
I have been told spam journaling is me "acting out" "vomiting" and how can I justify this
But screw those arseholes!!!
Ten years free of eating disorders and drinking, withstood ten years of abuse from the world, attack from spiritual world, insanity and awful medications
Still I've recovered and am ok today!
Go find yourself nice people who will be nice to your journals it's more fun
I read recently that most anxiety starts in the gut. I think there is something to this because when I'm anxious I don't eat right. So I started doing this: When I start getting anxious I eat small meals throughout the day with protein and complex carbohydrates. I avoid caffeine, sugar, white flour and processed food. I take a probiotic, Vitamin D and Magnesium, and drink lots of water and calming herbal teas.
Also, what you think about has a huge affect on your moods and emotions. I read the book Rethink How You Think by D. Stoop. It really has helped me control my thinking and emotions.
Saying a prayer for you.
