I didn't have to endure the silver platter distribution center this past weekend. As we drove to the party on Saturday (half way between Austin and Houston, near the farm the FIL recently sold to foreign investors), my beloved was still unsure he had the emotional strength to go there. I let that be okay. By the end of the party, he was confident that he did not. He needs more sort time for the emotional chaos. Fair enough. We decided to drive home instead of completing the drive to Houston.
He is thinking to do the silver platter duty this coming weekend. Maybe. The friends whose party we attended want to add bees to their farmstead. Hubs wants to give them one of the increase hives. This is a high school sweetheart couple he has known since they were single. God forgive my coveting, but I sure envy the fact that he knows people he went to HS with! (Insert transference therapy here.) I think the bees will be happy out there. My quiet voice is urging me to let him worry about whether or not to finish the drive to Houston after the bees are situated.
Just an update.

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

Ever since I stopped doing therapy because of insurance, I've been feeling that old tense and irritable sense of anxiety and stress. I hate that. I was making so many strides and changes during therapy, my therapist would acknowledge all of my progress and accomplishments, and I miss that reassurance. Today I thought about it, and I made those changes! She would always tell me that I chose to...
For now, I am over-dressing with the safety gear every time I feed the bees. It has been a serious challenge to find my bee zone.
Much as I love my bees -despite the development- I am still more of a river rat by nature, anyway. Been following freshwater by-ways all my life, even when there is no water in them at the time. The bees love freshwater by-ways, too. I am still having my bee barge fantasies. . . Eye balling the Ouachita this week. . . just eyeballing. . .
