I survived my day off

I was very depressed and anxious today. Cried for almost two hours after taking a diazepam. Had very strong thoughts of suicide. I painted. I cleaned a bit. Watched kids movies. I just wanted to tell someone I had means and motive to kill myself earlier and I didn't because my thoughts can't hurt me. I chose life even though it's crazy hard. 
Back to work tomorrow. My foot has been hurting and swelling daily so I'm not excited to be on my feet for ten hours but the routine that gets me through life, that I'm excited for.

I am proud of you! You chose life! That is a huge thing to be proud of! Life is hard thats SO true especially in these times were in but you chose to fight your feelings! What thing i was taught in DBT is feelings are not facts.

I work a part time job weekends for 2 small churches for the money and to be of service, Marah, but also to avoid that idle time when PTSD's intrusive thoughts can flashback on me like this. Going back to work now might help you, eh? I hope your foot heals quickly now as you're back on the job during the week.

Genuinely so proud of you for choosing life!!!! I know what you mean about having a routine to keep you centered, I'm doing online school right now due to covid, and I'm struggling with the lack of structure. But you chose life! You are stronger than your thoughts, and I am so unbelievably happy you did

Truly happy you chose life. Glad your rational self won. Its good your routine gets you through your life. My routine orawing, painting gets me through mine.
