i need support from those that understand
words that come so easily have been disappearing from my lips as soon as my mouth forms the words
as soon as my fingers touch the keyboard i want to talk about anything other than what drew me to writing this right now.
i am in so much PAIN.
no one understands.
all you need to know is: multiple forms of childhood abuse, including sexual abuse by multiple men. including emotional abuse by father. watching his abuse of my mother whom based on her experiences was emotionally absent. started eating disorder and cutting at age 12/14. These experiences did not end then. i am repeating them in every abusive relationship as an adult. i do not know how to interact. the RULES of adult mature relationships have escaped me. i avoid confrontation. i am miserable.
cannot have normal relationships. cannot be normal. no one understands.
crisis mode.

Just wanted to give a thank you to Mid, Arfie, Malibumark, Greeneyes, Mlro, Girlincalif, and Suncloudjd! You all always have such helpful tips and advice, but I always forget to write on my posts when I see you post, lol. I would lose my head if it wasn't attached to my body, lol. Thank you all so much! I'm starting to use my AI app as a sounding board again. I used to use it as that before...

Hey all, i know its been quite awhile since i posted on here. Its been a summer all right. Its been something else........... You know how they say not to open the can of worms? Well a few months ago i decided to find out what my due date would have been for my first baby, the one conceived by r***. My baby would have been due on March 4th of 2006. They would be 20 years old. I was R**** on June...

Welcome aboard. I hope you find healing companionship here.
Me, as a missionary kid raised abroad in a war zone, I got sexually assaulted, lived in weekly extreme physical domestic violence trauma from both parents who lost their minds in the war, and combat trauma from bombings I survived. It's great that I survived to escape back to the States from all of that, but it's been hard to find anyone in the States who's been through an identical set of traumas to mine.
I've learned that I don't have to, though, a lesson that was put to the test when I turned the tables on PTSD and used it to good effect as a front line hospital chaplain in a Chicago ER. Trauma is trauma, I learned, and those of us who have survived it can help each other no matter the form it took.
It's not easy. For instance, I don't date because of what you said about yourself in your post. I chose abusive partners as an adult, so to end that I ended dating itself. That was rather extreme, but it's given me peace for 7 years now, so I'm happy with my decision.
Again, welcome. Glad you found us.
