I'm tired of pretending to be strong, I'm tired of these memories. It's dark and lonely, it's just me alone in this world, the one that's rotting around me slowly. Days go by but still I stay, stuck in time where the people I loved are dead and dying around me unable to move with this weight bearing memory. Slowly and slowly I fall alone, the last hope I have is my Lord Christ alone. how much longer will time stand still, will it move again when my body becomes forever still, like the loved one I lost not long ago. I'm tired of pretending it's all right, is it time to let go? I just don't know.
(A poem about the darkness that's taken hold inside)

My day...today...misplaced my debit card...didn't realize it until I got to the register after shopping to a full cart. Used a different debit card and pulled apart everything looking for missing debit card before I left parking lot. Got home, dropped keys. So now I have a missing debit card, missing keys. I don't really know how to label this but I having a rough week and I can't say it's one thing.... I have a lot on my plate which is nothing new and I try to cope in many positive ways and do but I still have my moments. My kids more so my daughters talk to me about everything which I know it's cause of comfort and we are close.... however I really struggle with the venting about their dad which...

I find a strength which was mine all along
When I open myself to something beyond
My limited human understanding
Strong are the forces which live beyond
Human knowledge and certainty
I listen for the quiet voice to guide me to
Which path I should be on
The inspiration was your line, "the last hope I have is my Lord Christ alone." Turning to a power greater than myself has been a cornerstone of my own recovery. Personally, I have come to believe that understanding is over-rated. Faith leads me to places my knowledge is not even aware of.
Wishing you a restful sleep.
I took a great programme at the hospital for PTSD, mostly educational so easier then group therapy. I do now recognize when I am hyper or hypovigilanse so I know that my feelings are not know, they are from my past. DOesn't make them go away but it does help.
I am sorry you know the darkness and the weary feeling of insomnia.
i hope you are able to sleep soon triple hugs
Vent on good buddy, vent on.
All my perceptions turned to death and dying.
As with everything in life things change including our pain.
And those feelings passed, comfort replaced the distress.
Death and dying doesn't bother me at the moment. At least look at it this way....
At least "this" isn't it for eternity right!? There is death and sweet release to oblivion or maybe this world is like a womb. And ALL our loved ones are waiting for us to be born on the other side? Have you read the latest research on near death experiences??? Having "hallucinated" myself I can fully believe that people are truly experiencing meeting a loving forgiving God who bathes you in love and happiness...
I personally am glad that I don't have to live on planet earth forever, I find life very painful at times, I think the Buddhists had it right when they said life is suffering and once you radically accept that you ll have less feelings of distress.
All thoughts and feelings are temporary if you let them go, spend your time dwelling on good stuff and get involved in the gym group and salvation army or something. The activity should help the rivers flow and wash away this grief
Hope this helps
