I'm so lost

I've been a single father for about 6 years, and was recently attacked by 2 guys with knife & gun. They cut me up, pretty good. Now I can't work or barely wipe my own ass. I just want to get away from this place, with my son & never look back. But those knife attackers took everything I had, now I don't know what to do? Or who to turn too? I'm so lost. I wish those took my life & maybe, I wouldn't be such a burden to the world. I hate my life. But I know, I can't give up because I have a son to look after, but I'm really close to giving up.

Hey, sorry to be late. Busy times in my rela life. Trying to adjust to a traumatic event and its consequnces? Is never some smooth textbook or Hollywood process. I am physically doing much better after a pelvic-spine injury in 2011... but I can't be near doctors without panicking beyond all description. I still feel lost and /or certain I'm ... What?

Share when and as you can, and healing hopes to you, and to your son. Must be scary for him, too, to have things not-the-same. Much pumapower to you both.
