The older I get the worse I seem to feel. I am sitting here crying I do not know what to say or if this will even help. I have never done any support groups in the past. I am not sure how this all works. My life is such a mess. I can't seem to get any order in my life. my husband and I had a fight yesterday in front of my grandchildren. I feel like I have let everyone in my life down. I am getting help for my ptsd at the VA but I seem to only make it to half of my appointments.

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

I am sorry to hear that you are feeling like this. Today was a difficult day for me too.
I hope you will find this forum helpful. A lot in my life is currently very messy too, but I do feel that the Coda meetings help me get back on track, very slowly but surely.
I know the feeling of sitting there crying and feeling lost. But you are not alone!
PTSD seems to have a cumulative effect. The longer you try to ignore it away, the worse it gets. As coincidence would have it, the longer you try to ignore it away, the older you get.
The way support groups work for me is that by sharing my symptoms as they arise instead of suppressing them, I am better able to sort and organize them. My peer supporters often have great insights to offer the process. The feeling that I am not alone with all this might be the greatest benefit I gain from my peer support network. The load is easier when shared.
But that is me. . . The experience is unique for each and every one of us.
Gentle support while you figure out what it is for you. Welcome aboard.
