Do the holidays make your PTSD sytmptoms worse? They do me. I don't feel anything except that I want to hide. Holidays are not special and they don't make me happy. They bring back memories of happier days and make me feel depressed because I will never have that again.
It doesn't help that the health program that provided my medication is stopping on Jan 1st. It's one of those that got cut by Trump.
Happy Holidays everyone........

I'nm exhausted. This doxycycline thing has ripped me apart and I'm eating crackers and water. I can't take (anything) or eat (anything) except saltines and toast and maybe unbuttered watery mashed potatoes. Thanksgiving and Christmas day are me time. My kids go to their dad's around noon. Then I majorly spoil myself. (Incl a grocery trip for ANYTHING that catches my eye.) I love my family time. I love my me time.
PTSD haunts me because my siblings trigger & add pressure. Indirectly or directly. I'd rather not see them at all. I want to hide inside myself. Curl under my favorite blanket and shut off the world. Sometimes I can get snippets of that. I have a lot of "migraines" when they're around.
