Is this a joke? Mandatory sentences are wrong in so many ways.

I mean, you can't legislate everything away. They tried that woth cannabis and nowe we have the largest prison population in any developed nation. And that includes India and China. 2.5 million people. They should just use the same guidelines as they do for drunk driving and leave it at that. E-Hab? What a joke

I quite agree that the U.S. is hideously, foolishly over-regulated. I WISH that part was a joke. "Okay, joke's over. You can bring back our Bill of Rights now. . ."

Yep, this is meant as a joke to me, ergo the "Grins" title, I suspect.... It's just a bit of commentary on the disconnect between people, as the Machines Take Over. I see "couples" walking who hoold their phones, not each other's hands. Creepy!

I get a certain sense of shame out of admitting that Hubs and I have been having our arguments via text messages for a while now. We never "decided" to do so. It just happened without my awareness. *WE* still haven't admitted to each other, but on my personal side of the domestic battle line, ^I^ have decided it makes for a much cleaner, safer fight. No matter how angry I am, I can't spell as fast as I can open my adrenaline charged mouth to make the greatest speech I'll ever regret.

It sure would be funny if it weren't sad. I look forward to our Bill of Rights being returned to us!
