in march, 2020, the tumultuos domestic storms which radically changed the lives of hubs, myself and 3 newly orphaned children were in intensive psychoremediation. adult grief counseling had just percolated to the top of the crisis list when. . .
ya know, ya know. . . it's been on all the newsfeeds. it even made the ragged remnants of the printed media.
two plus years later, the entire psychotherapy stuff is still on hold. teledoctoring hasn't worked well for us and it ain't covid, so it don't still count for much. my reluctance to approach any of the masked, socially distant heroes is ? ? ? proper adjective still pending. the first 2 years of this procrastination was government mandated. now i'm wondering if i'm just making excuses. hearing problems make the teleconferenced and masked options problematic for me, but ? ? ? how does one ask if live, unmasked options are available?
what is the new normal?

Puma power to you.
i'm still not afraid of the virus, but the increasing callous disregard is terrifying.
Puma purrs. The disregard is... yes. Terrifying. Excellent word choice!
as for those aging pains. . .
"old age is golden
"or so i've heard said
"but sometimes i wonder
"as i crawl into bed
"with my ears in a drawer
"my teeth in a cup
"my eyes on the table
"until i wake up." ~pete seeger

i've since reviewed the results while pondering the unanswered questions of how do i ask the new questions. can i read your lips?
dunno. . . in the two and a half years of the pandemic politics, the family crisis which spawned this mess feels more settled than the masked madness in the increased social distances. most days getting back on the wagon feels like more trouble than it is worth.
imitating mask muffle, "i am fine. how are you?"
