Is it progress that I came here to ramble instead of doing one of my infamous 20 minute packs? In my field work, one of my claims to fame is that I can be packed and on the road in less time than it takes a newbie to finish arguing the necessity.
Hubby's performance reviews are still escalating. He promoted me to "Mommy Dearest" this morning. A tad bit retro, but hey. . . Sounds like the same spirit as, "Toxic Mother" to me. We can't all be fashionable bachelors. He is a busy, busy man. Got the pay stub to validate his competence.
He announced that he is taking a leave of absence so that he can, "Do the job right." I don't believe this part is about our Identified Patient, but what do I know?
Thinking I should go to Paducah to finish that barge cook interview.
Don't know what to do about my feather babies. . . The bees, of course, are the property of the superior parent. No worries there. The herbs can take care of themselves, more or less.
Still feeling quite fragile.

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

Ever since I stopped doing therapy because of insurance, I've been feeling that old tense and irritable sense of anxiety and stress. I hate that. I was making so many strides and changes during therapy, my therapist would acknowledge all of my progress and accomplishments, and I miss that reassurance. Today I thought about it, and I made those changes! She would always tell me that I chose to...
Maybe the hubs being home to run interference will help the son see Dear ol'e Dad as more than a factor in sustenance. Who knows he may fly the coop when faced with Dad's business manner.
We can hope?
If you go, may the roads be smooth and the pastures green...also dotted with wifi hotspots. I am ready for a vicarious adventure! My bags can be packed virtually as fast as yours. :)

When I give credibility to the notion that I really can understand nature languages more naturally than I care to understand the human dialects, I find a belief that bees have more colony memory than personal memory and that they remember me from the days when they led me to truly profound places, and that I was even able to rescue them from difficulties such blockages at their hive entrances. At their request, of course.
At the time of the bee mobbing which created the allergy, I was listening to execu-hubs more than I was listening to them while my hands were in their hive. I do believe they have since been very patient in explaining to me, "That is not what we trained you for."
Don't you DARE tell my shrinks I said that. . .
At this point, I think I could handle my own hives, as long as all executive types stay in their offices while I get my bee zen on.
Anyhoo. . . Left the homestead to the menfolk and have made it across the Sabine river into Duck Dynasty country. Not too sure yet, but I think I am heading to the environmental hot spot which is the base of my current mid-continental hydrology study. Here's the link I am currently studying, if anybody wants to ride along.

I miss my feather babies. Grand babies, too. Not so much the shaving babies.
Anyway, thinking of you as you work through these intense days right now.
I expect to be camping in the Atchafalya Basin tonight. Hoping to find a row boat for tomorrow. My support dog still doesn't know what a boat is. Wonder how she'll do.
Tonight's campfire? Wanna have an inter-hemispheric sing-a-long? Northern hemisphere to Southern hemisphere?
Get your motor running. . .
The Katrina flood in New Orleans was NOT a natural disaster. Many believe that it was a clear message from the Ol' Mississippi herself that she is finished asking nicely to let her water flow. She be a mighty force to argue with.
I hope your folks are safe in the flooding. I was caught in a car that was swept down a river once and had to be rescued from it (yeah, my nutty dad was at the wheel). Freak accidents can happen just in a flood. Be safe in your wanderings.
Gentle support.
For sure, the Asuncion neighborhood is on my bucket list. My South American exploration still hasn't made it far from the Andes Mountains. The nearest I have come is to stand at the western edge of the Amazon Basin. Wow! Color me speechless.
So much world and so little time. . .
I don't worry much about floods. I can spot a flood plain, even under pavement and progressive landscaping. I navigate watersheds far more naturally than I navigate human halls. The Austin homestead is on a natural apex. I will have my arc built long before the neighbors have finished drowning. Waiting out a natural storm is a no-brainer for me.
Letting God tend the menfolk.
