Yup. Methinks the wish has grown into a want. Me needs road trip!!! My REAL bitch does, too. She's been looking rather depressed with the demotion to house dog.
This morning I am calling this expedition, "Five Rivers." The 5 rivers would be the Ouachita, the Tensas, the Little, the Red and the Mississippi. 6 rivers, if you count the Black River, but. . . I kinda think of the Black River as a drainage ditch for the Ouachita, Tensas and Little on their way to the Red before they hit the Mississippi.
I've been updating my research and have been to the 5 river neighborhood before on other river expeditions. I might be leaving on Monday. We see. Small bytes and long chews.
Still chewing. Liking the aftertaste. . .

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

Ever since I stopped doing therapy because of insurance, I've been feeling that old tense and irritable sense of anxiety and stress. I hate that. I was making so many strides and changes during therapy, my therapist would acknowledge all of my progress and accomplishments, and I miss that reassurance. I have on my so-called bucket list to hike the Appalachian Trail through the long and (to the thrill-hikers) dull stretch known as The Green Tunnel---that is, Damascus VA to Harper's Ferry WV (or Front Royal, VA, opinions vary).... Point being, I have researched it well, I know the trail on maps, and someday I hope to feel it underfoot. My inner puma must roam....
