I started php today and sat there sobbing after the first hour because I can't believe I'm finally here. This is help. Real help with an eating disorder. Real help if there's a secondary diagnosis. Real help all while I still get to be a mom. I've spent half my life trying to find help. I was suicidal and spinning trying to figure out what's next how to help myself bc having no next step makes me feel so so hopeless. I thought I'd die before I found a place that helps and today was really very helpful. And hard. So so hard.

Good for you. Finding the help you need feels so wonderful when it finally arrives. You still have a lot to go through and it will be hard but at least you have started on the road to being well.

So glad you have found a program to get the help you need while still allowing you to care for your family. Lots of things that help in the long run are hard at first. Hang in there. Do not give up! You and your children will benefit hugely when you make it through treatment!

I am happy for you. Take advantage of treatment and get all you can from it. Like others have mentioned, never give up. Treatment may be difficult at times and sometimes you feel worse before you feel better, but if you are determined there is light at the end of the tunnel. Feel better.

Oh, I'm so glad for you, Marah! It took me 12 years of spinning my wheels in weekly therapy to find the one who finally helped me. It's so good when you know you finally got there. I'm so happy for you!
