its been a couple of months since Ive posted. Unfortunately, when things aren’t going well I struggle with reaching out.
I got a new boss at the end of 2017 that triggers me really bad. My work situation makes me feel the same way that my abusive marriage did and I turn into the hurt child that was abused and I’m defenceless. The situation got so bad that I ended up disclosing my ptsd condition to my bosses in hopes of support and I got the opposite. It’s such a horrifying situation that I’m riddled with anxiety because I go back to work tomorrow.
This past week I had two companies tell me that they are giving me job offer letters the week of may 14th and I’m seriously considering leaving my current job. I have so much self doubt about jumping ship and making the right decision that it’s exasperating my anxiety and contributed to me being triggered today (a phone call from my mom started off the trigger process . . . ).
My mind feels chaotic and it’s causing flashbacks and emotional breakdowns. I just wish I could disappear for awhile and immerse myself in some sort of therapy that’s more constant and consistent instead of having to try and cope everyday. This is one of many things weighing me down right now and I know it sounds silly to be so stressed out about it but I can’t shake it. I am just trying to make it through the rest of my day.

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

Ever since I stopped doing therapy because of insurance, I've been feeling that old tense and irritable sense of anxiety and stress. I hate that. I was making so many strides and changes during therapy, my therapist would acknowledge all of my progress and accomplishments, and I miss that reassurance. Today I thought about it, and I made those changes! She would always tell me that I chose to...
That is good that you’re getting two job offers in the mail. Maybe it’s a good sign
Sending support & hugs <3
Nope, it don't sound at all silly for you to be stressed out and triggery at a time like this. The only thing that stresses me out more than change --even desired change-- is the need for change and the stress aggravates every psychosis in my psycho baggage car. The desired changes might be even more stressful for me since it adds performance anxiety to the mix. It's like the world is taunting in 3 part harmony, "You asked for it, kid. Show us what you are made of. We're watching. . ."
Gentle support, whichever way works out best for me. At the end of the day, even the most glamorous of work is still more work than fun.
