...have this trigger symptom?
Twitches. More than that, though. It feels like my nerves turn into electricity. I feel my pulses. Ringing in my ears. And the twitches. Ugh. Jolts, even. Entire limbs involuntarily jerking. No matter how much I try to talk my body into believing that it is safe and secure, I can't get it to stop for several days.
I'm new, by the way. I will properly introduce myself soon enough.
Love.

Sometimes, I think I have ODD. I can be oppositional. It seems that the only times that I feel like cleaning are when I should be doing something else or I have to go somewhere. I have a possible new diagnosis to discuss with my therapist tomorrow. It might be the answer to a question that I have had since I was 19. It's called Rejection Sensitivity Dysphoria (RSD). It happens to a large percentage of people with ADHD, which I have. Actually, I have been watching videos about ADD/ADHD lately. I remember my Mom telling me that she watched a show on ADD and she...
Yup, I get this. It feels like I have swallowed an electrical wire and it is sparking throughout my body. Dragus maximus! Theories abound and proof is unavailable, but my personal favorite theory is that it is from adrenaline shots triggered by my hyper-vigilance. Psychotheraputing my way out of them is as effective as trying to talk myself out of a meth high. The adrenaline is a physical substance which must be purged and the purging takes time. *Just* my own favored theory.
Prevention is where the psychotherapy tools work best for me. If I can recognize and remedy the PTSD trigger sequence before the hyper-vigilance kicks in, the adrenaline shots don't start their mischief.
