Sometimes in our everyday lives, we would like time to self-care by reading, exercise, learn a new language, or? Often we think that there is no way to fit self-care or other activities in to our busy lives. I would like to intoduce something that that I learned in a support group called tiny habits. It actually works. There was a man who wanted to get in shape, but he was too busy working and balancing his family life. He devided on a tiny habit. Every time he needed to go to the restroom he decided to do 5 push-ups. We all go right? He kept this tiny habit up and he was stronger and in better shape in no time. Silly as this sounds it works. Maybe ever time you see a commercial you read, or every time you cook you do a simple exercise, or every night before bed you meditate for 5 minutes. The possibilities are endless. Will you try a tiny habit? Maybe you already have one? What tiny habit could you incorporate into your daily routine that could help you meet a goal?

Everytime I take a shower, I do 5 standing cat & camel stretches. Every night at midnight I decide on a meme for DS. Happy Friday DS.

I'm alive, I'm sleeping like a rock, and for some reason I wanted cherry juice so that seems to be helping. (??? Weirdo that I am.)***Infamous therapies over history:1. The Attic. The madwoman in the attic is a motif in literature going waaaaaay back: the nutty female relative is locked in the attic. (See: Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte for a grotesquely racist version of it, and Charlotte Perkins...

Welcome to the Perseid meteor showers, the "biggies" usually every year. (The Leonids beat 'em one year IMHO).AND today much of the northern hemisphere will see 5 to 99% solar eclipse. How cool is that? Your best bet is to be in the UK or norhtern Spain, where totality is excellent before sundown. Me, I'll get a super duper tiny itty bitty slice of it, so little that it won't be noticeable. New...

Thanks.
Thank you.
I learned a long time ago, the best way to stay fit, is to stay fit in BITS. Then it's not this huge overwhelming chore thing that 1. scares me and 2. makes my body hurt worse than it does already:-)
I have a new "fit sit" (under desk bicycle device thing) and it's just a few minutes here, a few minutes there, but it's getting it *done*, y'know?
When I start to get scattered ---- can't focus b/c of PTSD --- I take a few calming breaths, then do a few reps of *something* --- steps, pushes, curls, etc. --- just o let the anxiety express itself usefully. Mostly b/c I used to houseclean and now my post-quarantine house has less stuff, so less cleaning!
Thanks for th elinkss!
