Today had challenges but it was a good day.
I had little privacy but it was a good day.
I met with a new advocate who said she doesn’t want to give me false hope but will see what she can do. Never reporting anything is a problem. The problem with that being necessary for certain types of help is that some of us are programmed not to see danger until we don’t have a choice. I understand the need for this but it puts me in a sticky situation and creates a lot more doubt. I’m not sure if I’m mad or something else but I’m Feeling something intense, maybe pure anxiety. If there is help, they’ll find it. In the mean time, I’m about to meet my fourth counselor in the last year, fifth since July of last year. But she’s free....yay!
My husband was served with divorce papers 20 days ago. If there’s no response by the end of the week my lawyer is filing for default which just means I get everything requested in the paperwork. Unless he shows up to court and protests anything.
I feel like a terrible human.
I’m so anxious.
I think I heard something that I could t possibly have heard - my mom yelling bye when she’d already left and come back bc she forgot something and left again. That terrified me and stopped me in my tracks. I didn’t want to leave the room I was in. So I’m feeling a little overwhelmed by that.
But I really had a wonderful day with the kids. I may feel ill-equipped but it’s such a blessing to be a Mom.

Ever since I stopped doing therapy because of insurance, I've been feeling that old tense and irritable sense of anxiety and stress. I hate that. I was making so many strides and changes during therapy, my therapist would acknowledge all of my progress and accomplishments, and I miss that reassurance. Today I thought about it, and I made those changes! She would always tell me that I chose to...
My own cPTSD flashbacks come in a mind-ripping variety. Auditory flashbacks might be the most frequent escapee from my own psycho-baggage car.
Children are, indeed, a blessing, albeit an often exhausting blessing. Proof unavailable, but I solidly believe I've learned more about healing from children than all the pretentious PhD's put together.
My spouse stayed abusive during the whole divorce process and was ejected from the courtroom for verbally abusing the judge. I hope you don't see that, that your spouse doesn't show up to court and that you experience the more quiet, default route instead. Once again, you're not a terrible human, it's just that in my experience divorce is a terrible thing even when fully justified.
Big hugs
Rocking you gently and crying with you.
