I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

Ever since I stopped doing therapy because of insurance, I've been feeling that old tense and irritable sense of anxiety and stress. I hate that. I was making so many strides and changes during therapy, my therapist would acknowledge all of my progress and accomplishments, and I miss that reassurance. Today I thought about it, and I made those changes! She would always tell me that I chose to...

When my broken parts list starts getting me down, I work on my assets list. Yeah, I have my broken parts, but I have strong parts to take up the slack. What I feed is what grows. I shoot to feed the good stuff. What are your strengths, Sarah?
Continued support while you sort.

Hurt I made bad choices to gain a minutes relief trading years of growth for it.
Then I said No.
No, you can not guilt me into honoring you when what you did deserves no honor.
No, just because I was born through you, I don't have to choose to stay with you.
No, though you are my "parent(s)", I would not choose to be like you.
No. No. No.
The longer you fight , then give in again, the more hurt you give yourself.
...the more they believe that this is what it should be.
You know different, I know different, because we have seen different and recognize it.
I am sorry your cpn was short with you, but I'm sure he has seen this in more than just you in his career. And he may have lost one or two he tried so hard for.
It's real hard to keep someone calm and safe enough to do some healing work, when they keep running into the fire. He also knows that he has to try 10 times harder for every one time you go back to see them. They have the built up strength of years of dysfunction disguised as functional to over power his short time with you to change it. His best and strongest tool in this is you, you wanting different and better for you. So it's easier to get mad at him, he knows this too.
Changing , growing, building self takes energy, and hopefully you will use the anxiety, angry energy in strength to help your choice to heal. Show the "family" that thought they had you bottled that you can break out and shed the mental chains they used in you.
Hugs, I know it's not easy and you fall and get up so many times in the process. Just get up one more time than you fall.
Hugs and support.
