Okay, last year after my surgery, I had a hormone imbalance. I think my body went into shock and my adrenal glands were making too much testosterone. This is just conjecture from web MD.My Obgyn said there's nothing I can do to change it. Also could have been a bunch of hormones from the improved blood flow after the vascular surgery.? So my dance class woes were kind of a male puberty in my 30's. I can't describe how weird it was last year; I woke up one morning and my breasts were "dead" and floppy and it felt like a trauma in my chest. The hormones are back to normal and I didn't get hairier or anything. Weight loss was part of it.
So, I just thought that it meant being a smaller bra size. But my shoulders are getting narrower and so is the under bra measurement. After every period, more changes seem to happen. I always thought my shoulders were too wide, so this is actually making me look more feminine. But, I could be like an A cup next year. My years of losing weight in hopes of being a curvy goddess are dead. this is humiliating. Positive: my aunt and grandmother had breast cancer; guess I don't have to worry about it now. My shoulders hurt so much right now; my cycle ended last week. I'm living in the body Twilight Zone.

Mammary glands are very complex organs, ds, in every single one of the mammalian species, no exceptions. You should see what dairy farmers have to go through to take care of their mammary glands.
***Nerd threat over***
***Now to rant.
I didn't grow enough breast to hold a bra down until I was in my 40's. They have been fluctuating in size ever since. Bras of any cup size still feel like torture devices. I often think the elective surgery I want is a double mastectomy. How, exactly, are these things enhancing my senior sex image? Can I have a life outside my sex appeal now?
I love the term, "Body Twilight Zone." Just might describe how I feel about the entire female physical experience, from molested "pretty girl" to patronized, 61 year old, "young lady."
That said? I devleoped fibrocystic breast disease. Now I know why I had wide shoulders and am a "big" girl (as in broad across the hips and shoulders). Had t hold up the two cups sized *gained* in short order from fibrocysts. No cancer (yet) and not likely but Oh God, I miss being free of the need for and pains of a brassiere. Ouch. Just ouch.
I'm supposedly in pre-menopause but as yet, my periods, endometriosis and so on haven't gotten the memo. Weight seems irrelevant to the whole thing with me. *sgh*
All that to say.... There coud be a lot going on, so better safe than sorry, mention this to a doc, okay? There's many mysteries in the human body.
Kadunn: I've been tested and ultrasounded and I don't have PCOS. No cysts. Period got a little lighter, if anything. Calmer and better now.
I'm drinking guarana tea, which really helped me bike and helped me feel better, but I found out, too late, that it has some kind of a hormonal impact. But it's the only thing that's helped my leg and thyroid and makes me feel better. Since my boobs are gone anyway, I decided to keep drinking it, but maybe not as much as before. I don't think it's hormones now; just my upper body adjusting. I guess I should call the doctor anyway.
Collegen is a big part of the process, since it holds all cells together. it is a protien based substance. So if your body in action is using more protien than you are injesting it will steal it from other parts.
Loss of weight will come from fattier tissue(breast) first usually for some reason, then other areas. Using muscles in dance will push out fat attached to the connecting strands of muscle tissue.... progesterone a male hormone will effect where your body stores lipids(fat)
Keep up with the drink and the flattening will continue, as well as the hip area that women tend to carry more fat in the tissue.. . next is a flat but, defined by gluteus maximus muscle only.
Hows that for nerdy? My classes did it to me.

I have fibro that really flares with stress. Women are more prone than men. But given your dance history and movement, check with your doc.
Take care, okay?
