Im meeting my new and third therapist Wednesday, I'm hoping this one sticks for as long as I need her. I'm not too happy about restarting healing process, I just want to get in to it. With that said I'm having a huge problem, I feel as if I don't belong anymore. Like I don't fit in with my family aND friends anymore. I don't feel safe any more my family wants me to talk to them but every time I'm around I feel as if it's my fsult. I feel like what my dad did was my fault, even though it wasnt. I'm scared, I'm scared of everyone around me like they will hurt me too. I can't tell the, I'm afraid of them. They wouldn't understand, that I don't know who I can and can't trust. I think I should just leave

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

Ever since I stopped doing therapy because of insurance, I've been feeling that old tense and irritable sense of anxiety and stress. I hate that. I was making so many strides and changes during therapy, my therapist would acknowledge all of my progress and accomplishments, and I miss that reassurance. Today I thought about it, and I made those changes! She would always tell me that I chose to...
none of this was your fault. it is always so hard to accept this, to really believe it. it is probably not something they should be pressing you to talk about now. you are/have been traumatised and need to be/are going to be in therapy.
often well meaning parents start these sorts of conversations - my mother did and it turned into her feeling guilty - it became about her. this is not about anyone but you. this happened to you and you are going to counseling. you can only help you.
it would be great if your mother and (maybe) sister went to counseling - that would be awesome if they did.
i hope they do, that would be an excellent and healthy thing for them to do. it would be the most helpful, supportive thing your mom could do to help you right now. maybe your counselor can write a little note suggesting it and the name/number of someone for mom?? this happens all the time, this is not unusual and many families of victims go to counseling - i would go so far as to say it is what people do. it would be unusual for them not to go.
more hugs, you are doing so good writing about how you are feeling here. it is brave to do it, not an easy thing to do.
Be gentle and patient with the process, Ciar. Continued support while you sort.
