I made it back the the USA successfully from Mexico on my bum ankle, y'all.  I just wanted to thank you all for the support through those 2 weeks of being cooped up in a hotel room on a Mexican vacation with my PTSD getting triggered by that kid on the block and his bottle rockets instead of out and about as planned.  Believe it or not, your getting me through the frustration left me feeling rested after all now that I'm back from my vacation.  Wow!  Gracias, amigos.

Glad you made it back safely. Getting a good ankle support until more healing goes on might help avoid more mishaps. I used a Futuro on busy days, and a softer one for nights and easy days. Welcome back hugs.

Someone needed to tell that little runt "Oh sweetie can you please stop with your rockets they bother other people maybe one day a week at a certain time but we must be considerate" or offer him money or a present to stop it...lol

arfie, I didn't get out and about to see hospitals and doctors for myself because of my ankle, but the care for that itself was really impressive. Having crutches delivered to me on a Sunday for US$20 was amazing to me. In the USA I would have been asked to jump through some hoops, I'm afraid, ironic when I couldn't even walk.

apsie, I had dinner last night with my friend who said when he twisted his ankle he wished he'd broken a bone instead, since bones heal faster than soft tissue does. I couldn't agree more now with this experience.

Simpson, I'm going to look into what a Futuro is. Sounds like something that might help.

Thanks, Loo, I AM getting better, finally! :-) Yesterday I took off the ankle brace I've had to wear for 3 weeks and was able to walk without it!!! It means so much when pain finally goes away...... YAY!

Sorry to hear all that Muji, you needed a break after the pneumonia. Sometime life doesn't seem fair and glad you arrived safetly back home. Hope you get some R and R before work starts again. All the best for fast healing ankle!

Hey, Swim, great to hear from you! Yeah, I got some R and R this week after arriving back from Mexico Tuesday so I could stand on my ankle in the pulpit when I speak on PTSD recovery in a church today. I'm excited, it looks like my ankle's up to it.
