I invoked the ADA law this year for an accommodation at work via Human Resources coming out of the closet about my PTSD diagnosis. It was met with stigma, but the law was the law, so I got the accommodation I needed, which was just the right not to work overloads any more and to work the load my contract said to work. I wasn't asking for special treatment, really, but I had to invoke disability law just to get treated normally.
Now I'm reading that Congress is weakening the ADA. Here's a Newsweek article saying Congress voted to "gut" ADA law yesterday. Has anyone else heard about this? By the way, I'm a registered Independent and not a Democrat or a Republican, so this isn't a partisan question, it's a personal one.

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.

I personally believe that the current admin is everything that's the worst of the Republicans, Democrats, Homophobics, Abusers, and Tax Cheats combined.
I did not vote for said person, but I know people who did and regret it greatly, and others still in denial. I also know more than a few others that regret sitting it out and not voting at all.
Coal is never coming back even with Trump putting tariffs (taxes) on Solar Energy. Solar and Wind vie for the cheapest source of energy. The rest of the world knows it, and we're being left behind.
