I have multiple anniversaries this week.
it's weird that one even bothers me. I was safe at camp but walking on eggshells praying I wouldn't run into him and then we'd go home and all hell would break loose. One year my dad confiscated the phone because surely had I told anyone they could have called the police and that's when my silence started. My brother was my primary abuser but my dad was his. Life was just plain scary.
then I "grew up" and married someone who insisted we take a vacation every summer about this time. It often overlapped my birthday and I just wanted my birthday to be for me. I wanted to do what I wanted to do. I didn't want to feel awkward around his friends. I tiptoed in that relationship, for different reasons but the week was typically hard. Lots of alcohol. Just hard.
i needed two anxiety meds this morning

I'm alive, I'm sleeping like a rock, and for some reason I wanted cherry juice so that seems to be helping. (??? Weirdo that I am.)***Infamous therapies over history:1. The Attic. Good Thursday to you!I've been watching a really long trial on Youtube these last couple of nights and will finish tomorrowHopefully I'll be in the land of nod soon and I hope my peeps are having sweet dreams followed by a great daySending hugs...xo

Scary life indeed. Summer is nothing but bad memories for me starting end of May and finally easing around end of August. I also hate the season anyway, so... Yeah. Anti-anxiety meds. Do what you have to do for your own best. B/c times like this... we gotta. *fist bump*
But soon after a military patrol came in to my suburban neighborhood and grabbed me and tortured me. Suddenly I was off to the races with PTSD from some soldiers who were well trained to know how to give it to me. I was a happy go lucky teen boy no more.
So June 27 is my anniversary that sucks every year, and I do understand how a date on the calendar can be more than just a number. Hope those anxiety meds helped this morning, and support for them from here is doing the trick today.
Lots of thoughts and prayers for peace and strength for you.
I pray for peace to surround you everyday. Please stay strong. God bless.
