Again, no well defined reason why. *Just* a montage of the losses, failures and never hads of my broken life. Tonight I find myself wondering if I stockpile my sorrows and cry them out all at once. I don't believe sorrow will ever be my favorite emotion, but it seems to hurt less when I *just* let myself sink into it and let it process. The sooner begun, the sooner done?
Just sharing. I heard a rumor once that the load is easier when shared.

Life has been really hard this past year. I'm really feeling down and alone. I can't talk to my family about my depression and anxiety their not very understanding about it. It's really hitting me since my mother passed a few months ago, plus stress from having to eventually move. Also having my niece coming around who suffers bipolar and refuses to take medication for it. Its been...

When i was in the ER February 16th 2025, i was being admitted to ICU where i was for 3 weeks, then had to relearn to walk for 3 weeks in another hospital rehab floor, the nurse told me something that made me feel for over 18 months now that i was finally *safe*. She told me that the guy who raped and beat me 21 years ago now almost 20 years at that time, was in prison as of a month before that...

sorry if that is of little comfort to you,but please do know i care, and am thinking of you....

I used to get angry, before, during and after I felt a need to cry, but I was one angry wench back then. Anger was pretty much my defining emotion. Learning how to channel my anger made a big diff in that equation. It is MUCH easier to handle my emotions one at a time.
I am going to pass on the 4th night of exposure therapy, more because of the rain in the forecast for tonight than the shadowy light glare. Packing a wet camp bites the big one. I am pretty much packed and ready to get back to the river scouting.
This morning finds me wondering if the exposure therapy was actually helpful. My unprovable senses say that last night's weepery was triggered by the park lights, as usual, but instead of the PTSD business as usual, I let the images wash over me and cried 'em out. Yes, very cathartic.
Thanks again, guys. I'm on the road again. Yay me!!! I finally got to see the Upper Mississippi River Valley and many of the watersheds which feed her. It takes a mind-boggling number of watersheds to keep the Mighty Mississip flowing. Don't know that I will live long enough to count them all, much less know them all.
It truly is an amazing world we live in, warts and all.
