Admitted to hospital

 It's 430am was admitted thru the er at midnight just got intake finished. I went from having bad pneumonia in one lung took 10 days of strongest oral antibiotics for it and now it's worse and in both lungs. I am on 8 liters of oxygen.got to er dropping to 64 sat of oxygen could not walk 3 steps I could not breathe. Doing iv steroids and antibiotics etc. I'm really sick but finally got meds for pain in me. All prayers and good thoughts welcome

Thank you both. was moved to a stepdown from icu instead of medical floor. also right across from the nurses station. im on 10 liters oxygen and 3 iv antibiotics, vancomycin, levaquin and not suree other name, iv lasix and steroids, dr said hes getting me better before releasing me before it gets more dangerous.

Update, Saturday night and I as of tomorrow night will have been admitted for a week. Not going home yet. They said insurance am very lucky i came in when I did, going to sleep at home with oxygen sat going to 64 would not have ended well. We got me down to 10 liters of oxygen but been stuck there now. I can't be sent home on more thsn 3 or 4 liters but they really want me off to go home. So double pneumonia and at one point they worried congestive heart failure but they got 40 plus pounds of fluid off me, and my heart is good. The pneumonia caused it. First time I have had Dr's when in the hospital also trying to control my severe chronic pain. Everyone is so kind, Dr's, nurses, respiratory etc even the kitchen is trying to work with my normal high protein diet I'm on with my nutritionist. Hoping to go home in a few days but have no discharge date yet. They don't want to send me home just to get worse and end back up here and I'm still on iv antibiotics, steroids, Lasix etc and all the breathing treatments have caused thrush in my mouth now ugh. This was the sickest I have ever gotten and hope never to be at that point again, it's scary when you can't breathe!

    Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.
