Dixie peed on the floor.
Good morning to me.

Meanwhile, in world events:
In 1356, The Black Prince, who would have been Edward III of ENgland had he not dropped dead and thus accidentally set off the dynastic resenments known as the Wars of the Roses ... Why can't Ebnglish history be easy? ... captured the French King in the battle of Poitiers. This then helped kick off the Hundred Years War between England and France, because WHY NOT make things worse? I mean, just survived Black Death, hey, go to war!
In 1876, Melville Bissell patented his carpet sweeper and households still curse his name today b/c no, they didn't make life easier. Still had to get a real vacuum or, if it's not nailed down, beat the carpet outside and douse it in several barrels of water and get ten people to wring it out.
And in 1959, Nikita Khruschev, premier of the USSR and head of the Party, was not allowed to visit Disneyland due to security issues. He was furious and pitched a tantrum like, well, a toddler. Yes, the Soviet premier wanted to see Mickey.

Hubby out of the house, Dixie suddenly a darling. Hmm. THis is her when she's not around him .
It's a really nice day, and it's cooler. I just got home from the dump and grocery store, and I want to go to the trails with Miki. She's had a rough few weeks, to say the least, and I really want to do something fun for her. Her incision is basically healed, just 2 small scabs at this point, so I'm starting her on prednisone tomorrow. Next week I'll start the palladia. I really hope this helps...she's the best dog. The brewery just released a blueberry lemon seltzer that I want to try at some point this weekend too. That'll probably be tomorrow, because I already want to lie down. I'm off on Monday at least
I worked this morning. That went fine. Not too far from the house and I only have one client today.
Today's crisis du jour was ordering new front tractor tires. My partner who is *really* cheap found some but they were on some fake walhell site. Explaining that to him was beyond annoying. I found a nice set with wheels included for $5 more/free shipping on a valid site. Bangs head on desk....
My brother got his drivers license reinstated after the normal results of his EEG. He's already been out to get a haircut and pick up a celebratory pizza lol. That takes a lot of stress off of him. He still won't be able to do some things like drive his lawn tractor or fall clean up. My partner is cutting the lawn and he has a contractor lined up for the leaves. He's been out every day walking at least a half mile too.
Leo - I hope that you survive the in-laws. After the latest shenanigans, I would not let them in my house. I hope that you have something planned food wise that they don't like....
Hi Miki - Sounds like Miki is coming along nicely - she's a trooper. Have fun on the trails, That seltzer sounds very refreshing. Enjoy your extended weekend!
Shout out to Blue, PuppyMom, AngelaJo and Milily! Waves!
Guess I'm taking a break on wedding stuff for the past few days, hard to do much when too sick!
