Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) Support Group
Polycystic kidney disease (PKD) is a progressive, genetic disorder of the kidneys. It occurs in humans and other organisms. PKD is characterised by the presence of multiple cysts (polycystic) in both kidneys. The disease can also damage the liver, pancreas and rarely the heart and brain.
I do not know if it is the same thing you are talking about.
Mine have absolutely nothing to do with CALCIUM....in fact all my levels are extremely LOW.
I have such an excess of blood from cysts rupture and I also have Alport Syndrome that my kidneys do not filter out all the blood and it clots and calcifies. Causing the same symptoms of kidney stones/ look like kidney stones and causes excruciating pain like kidney stones...except mine are made of PURE BLOOD...not oxalate , phosphorus , calcium, etc.
I know for a fact I have another clot in my right kidney cause I can tell by the pain and the symptoms.
I was told by my neph and urologist that there is not anything that can be done ...
I would love to hear what they tell you...so please post what they have said after you met with your neph.
I truly hope they have an answer for you...
Peace
