Hah! WOW! I have never used Tarot cards but I did use runes for a while and found them really useful. But yeah, to keep drawing the same card is really weird!

According to my preferred reference, Choice Centered Tarot by Fail Fairfield, the Devil card represents traps, boundaries or limitations. Upright, those limits are external,.imposed on you. Reversed, they are internal, imposed by you . Whether they are positive, negative or neutral depends on the context of your question. Neutral might mean some options have been rules out, positive could mean that healthy boundaries are being at, negative could mean that those limited options and boundaries have formed a trap.

I've got a friend who claims to be able to read auras - once I announced I was moving out, she told me that she was super-unnerved by my wifes'. Probably just confirmation bias on my part, but still...

I actually read cards myself, have done for years!

I've had lots of readings done about my ex I lost count haha.

I've had accurate ones and ones that have been misleading.

The cards always told me the truth about my situation but I could never face it and would turn the cards over and redeal until I got cards that fitted into my tunnel vision, now I can see the bigger picture but my readings are never about my ex (yippeeeede)

Sorry I mean they told me the truth whenever I did the cards myself for myself!!

I love this kind of stuff! OOOOO - I have a set of ruins. I use to use them all the time. Somehow there is always something relevant to be discovered. Unfortunately, with my recent escape, they are packed in some box in storage. Oh, how I would love to have them now.

Kaz and Free, I think it is interesting how you pulled the same cards over and over, nonetheless the moon and devil cards.

Oh, I love all this stuff too! Had a set of one of each thing mentioned here at one time or another.

I can add one more discipline: astrology! My husband had Mercury in Aries which is supposed to give the sharpest and most brutal of all tongues in an argument (I'll say). Plus, he had one crucial element in Virgo, sign of nitpickers. That would account for quite a lot in my experience ;)

They say you can even tell if someone will be in a negative relationship from their astrological chart. Not sure I'd swear to that, but I did read that Scorpio Suns (of which I am one) are likely to have cruelty inflicted on them from an early age, which was unfortunately true.

It does offer some interesting ideas too! xx

Kaz, I went to the site you listed. I have lesrned to trust my intuition as to what the cards mean to me, after all I am the one reading them. If I go with my gut instinct, they are pretty accurate. The link was very telling....

It described a person who is highly manipulative, seductive and persuasive. The addict and the drug pusher. I believe we both took turns being both to each other.

I cannot tell you the number of times he referred to me as heroin. I often told him that I felt like he was a drug (fun in small doses, but still toxic.... I kept this observation to myself)!

One bloke from my history who had Capricorn overload in his chart, was, as excess of this sign would ensure, a grumpy old fart!

Hey, wait, that rhymed... it just came into my head like that before I realised :)

A bit of Capricorn can be grounding but too much and you've got dogmatism and bone dry obnoxiousness. We're talking three or more planets for that.

The X and I-both Scorpios birthdays 3 days apart. It was explosive.

Andrea, oh goodness!!! I once dated a guy who also a scorpio... We were either fighting or in bed.... There was no in between! He wasn't abusive, we just had very different belief systems.

Rockin, my ex was a Virgo.... Cold, nit-picky... Everything had to be justso. I have known other Virgos that I have really liked, but since they were normal, there was no comparison! :)

It seems no coincidence that my dad also had quite a bit of Virgo in his chart, along with some pretty strong aspects (relationships between his planets that caused friction). Think he even had the same element in that sign as my husband...speaks volumes :/

To answer the question I learned myself to read the cards, I mainly read angel cards but can read tarot.

I choose the angel cards because they are more positive and healing and that's what I feel is the right thing to do for a client.

Also I didn't know that about scoripos, I'm Scorpio and its very true for me!

My ex was a Taurus, no wonder he was a narc, not that all Taurus people are narcs but they say Taurus liked the finer things in life etc etc.

He also held true to the trait of the raging bull and when he raged it was terrifying!

I have ruins as well, I have so much stuff.

Have about 20 packs of cards, loads of crystals, orniments of angels, so much that I love about all this type of thing (typical mystical Scorpio haha)

For the past two years I've moved away from it since the abuse came to light (I realised and then had to deal with it) but recently I did myself a reading (both angel and tarot) and some meditation and it was heavenly (perhaps literally)

I moved away from my spiritual side too, kaz. It was just too much to handle during the ending of our relationship. I really need to focus more on myself. Being in touch with my spiritual side, either through meditation, a walk in park or through prayer, always helps me.
