Physical & Emotional Abuse Support Group
Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.

Hi,
Did not want to join becuase it hard to ever say... My abuser is no longer in my life but every few years he find it way back. I would change my number but he would find his way back. I wish I knew why? Someone said it is way of control. Even though he is not in my life he still control my mind. What he taught me. Sometime I think the only way out is... but does not like that thought. But so I am in therapy. Therapy makes me worst and does crazy things. The worst part is I have to talk about it. Maybe i should not have join this group. I am trying to hang in there and work and take care of myself because I am the only one I got.

I know my own PTSD is not a safe neighborhood to travel alone. There are way too many phantoms, deceptions and confusions attached to trust to only one set of senses. I take traveling companions whenever possible.
One of my VA therapists compared PTSD to a bone which had been shattered and then left to heal badly. Treatment requires re-breaking the bone. setting it properly and tending it with all the necessary care and rehab. Yes, it is a painful and tedious process, but the joy of walking without prosthetics is beyond measure. For me, it was worth the price.
