Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.
I finally got the kids and I moved to our new place today and so I'm tired, but happy we are here. So, my work and school require that I have an internet connection, which will not be in the new place for five more days. At the old house, the only bill in his name is the internet (so he could control the privacy, I'm sure). He is still out of the country. The last time he was out of the country 18 months ago, he changed his password and when the router reset, we could no longer use the Internet and I almost lost my job over it and had to go buy a wireless stick for $100 to keep from getting fired.
So, when he called last week, he said he had changed his password again and wanted to make sure the internet was still working. I told him then that it would be fine as long as the power did not go out, which of course it did two days ago and no more internet. I called him to let him know and he said, well, my password is important, you will have to make your stick work. So, I spent another $200 today to get my stick working so I can work and do my school work. He said he was so sorry and I told him, no, if you were sorry you would not play games like this that put me in this position knowng that's what will happen! He said it wasn't a game and I said, of course not, we all need to change our password every two weeks while out of the country - even though none of my computer engineer, programming, IT friends or I ever do! Just told him he might as well disconnect the service and hung up.
Really, I just needed to dump that off my chest. I am so furious that the last several years of my life have been that kind of crap and that it really took me that long to really see it!

And as annoying as the internet thing is ... it's now over. You have your stick working for now, and will have your own internet soon. Then you can change your password as often or as seldom as you want! And he can change his every day if it makes him happy.
